Rashmika Mandanna is now preparing for Chhaava, her next film, to be released. The historical drama Chhaava centers on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, and Rashmika Mandanna plays Maharani Yesubai, his wife. Rashmika revealed at the trailer presentation ceremony on Wednesday that she was taken aback when filmmaker Laxman Utekar offered her the part.
“I remember being really astonished, Ki,” Rashmika remarked. “How did Laxman sir ever consider offering me a role like this to play? I simply gave up. There is no reference for you. It’s a narrative. They are such magnificent, powerful individuals and personalities, and you are aware of their narrative. How are they played?
“For me specifically, I just gave in to what Laxman sir wanted,” the actress continued. Naturally, there was a great deal of language and other rehearsal. But it’s just your faith in the team since you know that you shouldn’t have any obstacles with yourself if someone else has to do this. All you need to say is, “Sir, I’m all in.” I’m here to deliver on anything you ask for.”
It’s a privilege. It is the most privileged and unique thing I could ever hope for in this life for a girl from the South to come and play a Maharani. “I just told Laxman sir that I think I’ll be content enough to retire after this,” she said.
In addition to Rashmika, Vicky Kaushal will play the title character in the movie. With its dramatic battle sequences, the video effectively introduces Vicky as the strong son of the renowned Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. In important parts, Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta also appear in the movie.
An heated struggle of wills between the Marathas and the Mughals is built up in the trailer for Chhava. The Mughal empire is steadfast in its resolve to put an end to any uprising against its rule as the Marathas work to create Swaraj, a vision of liberty and security for everybody. The tense conversation forewarns of the grim yet silent search that awaits anybody who opposes the empire.
