Sajda Pathan, who has experienced similar hardships, giving a touching and genuine Adam J. Graves’ highly regarded short film Anuja, which is available on Netflix, has earned a distinguished nomination for Best Live Action Short at the 97th Academy Awards. Both producer Suchitra Mattai and director Adam J. Graves are receiving their first Oscar nominations, which is a huge accomplishment for both.

The film benefits from the participation of prominent industry players, such as producers Guneet Monga Kapoor, Mindy Kaling, Krushan Naik, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who co-executive produces with Anita Bhatia, thanks to Netflix’s support. Co-executive producers Susan MacLaury, Albie Hecht, and Archana Jain are also involved in the project.

With lead actress performance, Anuja vividly depicts a gripping story based on the experiences of working and homeless children. The movie was produced in association with the Salaam Baalak Trust, a nonprofit organization founded by Mira Nair and devoted to helping impoverished children.
